چکیده

In this paper we present the detection of H2O and OH+ emission in z>3 hot dust-obscured galaxies (Hot DOGs). Using ALMA Band-6 observations two Hot DOGs, have detected H2O(2_02-1_11) W0149+2350, H2O(3_12-3_03) multiplet OH+(1_1-0_1) W0410-0913. We find that both sources luminous with line luminosities L_H2O > 2.2x10^8 Lsol = 8.7x10^8 for W0149+2350 W0410-0913, respectively. The profiles are similar to those seen neighbouring CO(9-8) line, linewidths FWHM ~ 800-1000 km/s. However, seems be more compact than CO(9-8). is a FWHM=1000km/s luminosity L_OH+ 6.92x10^8 Lsol. ratio observed over IR luminosity, consistent previously star forming AGN. H2O/CO DOGs OH+/H2O W0410-0913 comparable AGN literature. bright H2O(2_02-1_11), lines likely due combined high formation levels these sources. presence emission, agreement ratios literature, would suggest dominating radiative output galaxies. followup multi-transition needed better constrain properties systems.

The Pedigrees of DOGs (Dust-Obscured Galaxies)

A simple mid-infrared to optical color criterion of R − [24] ≥ 14 results in a robust selection of approximately half of the z ∼ 2 ultraluminous infrared galaxy (ULIRG) population. These ‘Dust-Obscured Galaxies’, or DOGs, have various properties that suggest that they are good candidates for systems in a transition phase between gas-rich mergers and QSOs.

Half of the Most Luminous Quasars May Be Obscured: Investigating the Nature of Wise-selected Hot Dust-obscured Galaxies

The WISE mission has unveiled a rare population of high-redshift (z = 1 − 4.6), dusty, hyperluminous galaxies, with infrared luminosities LIR > 10 13 L⊙, and sometimes exceeding 10 14 L⊙. Previous work has shown that their dust temperatures and overall far-IR spectral energy distributions (SEDs) are significantly hotter than expected to be powered by star-formation. We present here an analysis ...

Hot Dust Obscured Galaxies with Excess Blue Light: Dual Agn or Single Agn under Extreme Conditions?

Hot Dust-Obscured Galaxies (Hot DOGs) are a population of hyper-luminous infrared galaxies identified by the WISE mission from their very red mid-IR colors, and characterized by hot dust temperatures (T > 60 K). Several studies have shown clear evidence that the IR emission in these objects is powered by a highly dust-obscured AGN that shows close to Compton-thick absorption at X-ray wavelength...

Infrared Luminosities and Dust Properties of Z ≈ 2 Dust-obscured Galaxies

We present SHARC-II 350μm imaging of twelve 24μm-bright (F24μm > 0.8 mJy) Dust-Obscured Galaxies (DOGs) and CARMA 1mm imaging of a subset of 2 DOGs. These objects are selected from the Boötes field of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey. Detections of 4 DOGs at 350μm imply infrared (IR) luminosities which are consistent to within a factor of 2 of expectations based on a warm dust spectral energy di...

HerMES: the far-infrared emission from dust-obscured galaxies

Dust-obscured galaxies (DOGs) are an ultraviolet-faint, infrared-bright galaxy population that reside at z ∼ 2 and are believed to be in a phase of dusty star-forming and active galactic nucleus (AGN) activity. We present far-infrared (far-IR) observations of a complete sample of DOGs in the 2 deg of the Cosmic Evolution Survey. The 3077 DOGs have 〈z〉 = 1.9 ± 0.3 and are selected from 24μm and r...
